Contains monthly Lageberichte from district Kommissars of several Latvian cities for 1942 and 1943 including Riga, Daugavpils, Valmiera (a.k.a.Wolmar), Liebau, and Jelgava. The reports include information about the conditions of industry, politics, economics, health and hygiene, culture, education, schools, and agriculture. Also included is information about disease control, persecution of Jews, activities of churches, utilization of Latvian civilians and Jews in the labor force, labor statistics, Jews in ghettos, construction projects in which Jews were laborers, sterilization of Jewish women, distribution of ration and clothing cards, and communist propaganda.
